Northern California Clemson Club

Welcome Tiger Alumni!

The Northern CA Clemson Club is a community for local Tiger alumni, parents, and friends that share a passion for Clemson University to network, socialize and cheer on Clemson. We also welcome visitors to the Bay Area who are in town for work conferences, vacations, etc. and looking to cheer on the Tigers while in town!

All members of the Clemson Family are welcome to participate in club events. While there are no dues or other requirements for membership and event participation, we encourage a membership donation to support an annual scholarship for area Clemson students and representation of Clemson University at local events. Please see the “Scholarship” tab above for information on how to donate.

Events and Watch Parties

The club has active chapters hosting events in San Francisco and Silicon Valley, with periodic events in the Sacramento area. For the latest information on events please visit our Facebook and Instagram pages. Please join us in making the Tiger’s roar echo to the Golden Gate

During regular season football games, you can find us at two regular watch party locations:

San Francisco

The Showdown, 1628 Grant Ave., San Francisco.

The Showdown, located in San Francisco’s historic North Beach is pet friendly and kids are allowed, though please note it may get crowded later as more games kickoff and can get loud inside. The food and drinks are great and Clemson is the only alumni club there, so we always get a few dedicated TVs and the sound on.

For those traveling in from outside the city, there are several options to make your way in:

  • From BART: Get off at Montgomery Street station and take the 8 Muni line (10 mins) or walk (~20 mins, mostly flat)
  • From the Ferry: Walk ~20-25 minutes (mostly flat) from either the Ferry Building plaza or wharf
  • Parking: Recommend the North Beach Garage which is ~1.5 blocks from the Showdown.

Mountain View (Silicon Valley)

The Sports Page, 1431 Plymouth St., Mtn. View.

The Sports Page has a covered patio and plays the Clemson game each week on one of their three 84″ TVs. The patio has an outdoor bar, food service, and heaters – it’s pet & kid friendly, with giant Jenga, Connect 4, ping-pong, pool table, and a sand volleyball court.

For those traveling in from other peninsula or South Bay locations, both the CalTrain and LightRail stops will get you within ~7-8 min Uber / Lyft from the bar.
