Denver Watch Party Location Change

Denver Watch Party Location Change

From Club President Caryne Mesquita:

Hello Colorado Tigers! Hope to see you, your friends and family at one of our Club watch parties soon!

As today was our last day at the Cowboy Lounge in Denver, I wanted to provide everyone with an update on the search process. This is a long post, full of information- SO thank you in advance for taking the time to read it all!

Update on our new Denver location selection process.

We announced 2 weeks ago that due to the sale of the Tavern Downtown & Cowboy Lounge, we are moving locations. We have a long standing, great relationship with the Tavern. They have graciously offered one of their other locations to us for the remainder of this football season. As you know, we have a limited amount of time to be ready for the FSU game so this is one of our options. As those details are finalized, we will pass that information on to the Club. Please remember that this is temporary for the remainder of this season ONLY.  Should the Search Committee come up with a better match for Fall 2019- we will make a new choice.

Search Committee? Can anyone participate?

Ashley Dunn, our Event & Activities Chair, is heading up the Search Committee along with one of our Young Alumni Co-Chairs. We would love to have you be a part of this process!

· If you have ideas, suggestions and any connections- email those to [email protected].

· If you would like to actively participate, the committee’s first in-person meeting will be October 2nd at 6pm at the Thirsty Lion Union Station.

Email [email protected] to let us know that you would like to attend and we will make sure you get all of the meeting information.

What are we looking for in a new location?

We have created a reasonable list that makes up the ideal watch party location for the Search Committee to use an evaluation tool. The options we’re looking for include but are not limited to making sure the location has: all of the TV sports packages, dedicated sound, large/multiple TVs, family friendly, space for up to 200+, ample parking & game-time flexibility for their staff.

Who is currently on the list?

We want this to be the best location for the entire Club. Currently, our list of prospects includes the following restaurants/bars below in random order. Send any additional ideas to [email protected].

· Thirsty Lion

· Improper City

· Cherry Cricket Ballpark

· Esters Park Hill

· Stoney’s Uptown

· Blake St. Tavern

· Rhein House

· Society Sports & Spirits

· View House

· Sloan’s Tap & Burger

· Highland Tap & Burger

· Park & CO

We are all passionate about our Alma Mater and love this Club- together we will find a new home for our watch parties!

GO TIGERS!
