The Citadel game on Saturday, Nov. 18, will be recognized as Military Appreciation Day up in Death Valley, and we want to do the same down here in Orlando. We are asking those who attend our viewing party at Miller’s Ale House to bring items we can put into care packages for our military personnel stationed overseas.
Care package donations can include:
- Snack foods such as beef jerky, sunflower seeds, energy bars, pretzels, tuna packs or Cheez-its
- Sweets that do not melt such as Nutella packs, cookies, Airheads, peanut M&Ms, PopTarts or gum
- Hygiene products such as lip balm, baby wipes, toothpaste and travel size personal products
- Individually sized drink mixes such as lemonade, instant coffee, tea bags, powdered creamer or hot cocoa
We also will have cards available to write personal messages to our troops during halftime.
If you are unable to bring care package supplies, we will collection a donation at the viewing party to purchase more. If you are unable to attend the viewing party and would like to participate, you can make a donation below to purchase care package materials.
